Resume Example With Computer Skills
Because some degree of software knowledge is required for most candidates in today’s job market, it’s a good idea to devote a section of your resume exclusively to your computer skills.
While professionals in the information technology field should highlight their advanced skills at the very beginning of their resume, those in non-tech jobs are best-served by listing their software knowledge at the end of their resumes, either before or after the “Education” section.
Describing your technical proficiencies in your resume will both help to catch a hiring manager’s eye and will also ensure that your resume is highly ranked by applicant tracking systems that are programmed to seek mention of specific software.
